Ring Group - The Ultimate Call Organizer

With the Virtual PBX Ring Group technology, incoming calls can be directed to a designated group of extensions to ensure all calls are answered promptly.

A Missed Call Is a Missed Opportunity

The benefits of the Ring Group feature include:

  • Up to 10 different extensions can be integrated into a single Ring Group
  • Calls can be routed to a series of extensions in three different ways
    • Ring All – all extensions included in a Ring Group will ring at the same time
    • Sequential Hunting – extensions will ring according to a pre-selected list of extensions in a designated order
    • Rotary Hunting – for each new incoming call, a different extension will ring and subsequent calls will be rotated throughout the other extensions in the Ring Group.
  • Call handling speed will be increased
  • Customers will always be connected to an appropriate staff member

How does it work?

The best scenario to describe the workings of the Ring Group technology is to imagine a busy call center, where incoming calls are frequent and all callers are relying on prompt customer service. By establishing Ring Groups, all calls can be answered promptly. Up to 10 different extensions can be applied to one ring Group and all calls can be distributed in one of three different ways.

  • Ring All – All extensions assigned to a Ring Group will ring for every incoming call until the call has been answered.
  • Sequential Hunting – One extension is designated to ring first. If the call goes unanswered, the next in line extension will ring, and so forth down the line until the call has been answered.
  • Rotary Hunting – As each new call comes in, a different extension will be chosen to ring first. The first incoming call will ring to Extension A. The next incoming call will ring to Extension B, and so on.

Ring Groups allow all incoming calls to be handles in an efficient and timely manner. It also allows staff the opportunity to take breaks from phone interruptions and concentrate on the work at hand.
